With regards to COVID-19, what extra measures will be taken to ensure safety at the Tes SEN Show?

As organisers, our number one priority is to ensure the health, safety and well-being of all of our exhibitors, visitors and staff.

As we welcome you back to the Business Design Centre for the Tes SEN Show on 8-9 October 2021, we would like to advise you that we are working closely with the venue to ensure the safety and comfort of all those on-site. Has the Tes SEN Show been postponed?

The Tes SEN Show has been postponed from 9th – 10th October 2020 to 8th – 9th October 2021, remaining at the Business Design Centre, London.

As organisers, our number one priority is to ensure the health, safety and well-being of all of our exhibitors, visitors and staff. Given the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the likelihood of some social restrictions being in place for the foreseeable future, and the huge current impact on the education sector, we have decided that in order to minimise the risks to visitors and exhibitors, the event will now take place in early January.

Who can attend the Tes SEN Show?

The Tes SEN Show is for everyone in the SEN community and is relevant to all roles within and connected to the provision of education for children with SEN. Please note that children under 18 are allowed at the event under the supervision of an adult, but children under the age of 16 are strictly not permitted to access any of the seminars.

No children under 18 are allowed on site during the show’s set up or breakdown.

How much does it cost to attend the Tes SEN Show?

The Tes SEN Show is free to attend – all visitors have full access to the exhibition, the Exhibitor Workshop Theatre, the Spotlight Theatre, the Parent, Carer and Teacher Forum and more. Visitors can also access the opening Keynote Panel Debate and SEN North TeachMeet but must register their interest in attending this during the registration process.

There are, however, a range of fees for attending seminars. Each seminar place costs £16 (+VAT) person if booked by 30th October 2020 during the early bird period. From 31st October 2020, the cost per seminar place is £19 (+VAT). During the show, seminar places booked onsite cost £21 (+VAT).

What subjects will be covered at the Tes SEN Show?

The seminar programme will focus on a rich mix of vitally important topics central to SEN best practice and policy. 

All the sessions will be delivered by renowned SEN experts and will be informative and educational with a view that all attendees can take away new ideas to put into practice straightaway. This year, the seminar programme has a particular focus on Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).

What level of experience and ability do the seminars cover?

Each seminar on the programme has a reference to what 'Level/s' it is relevant to. The definition of the Levels is as follows:

Level 1: seminars for people who are new to SEN  or have limited knowledge of this topic

Level 2: seminars for people who have some knowledge or experience of working with SEN/this topic

Level 3: seminars for people who have significant knowledge or experience of working with SEN/this topic

Will I receive a certificate of attendance?

The seminar programme at the Tes SEN Show is CPD certified. All visitors who attend a seminar will be emailed their certificate roughly one week after the show. It is vital that your badge is scanned as you enter the seminar room so that a record is kept of your attendance and we can issue your certificate.

How do I pay for seminar places?

Seminar places should be booked online and paid for by debit or credit card. There are NO administration fees. If you are unable to pay by card and require an invoice to be supplied, please contact our Event Executive, Priya Patel

For seminars booked onsite during the show, payment can be taken both by cash and card.

Are refreshments available at the Tes SEN Show?

Yes. There will be a catering point on the main exhibition floor serving tea, coffee, cold drinks and sandwiches. On the Gallery Level, visitors can also eat at the Gallery Restaurant.

Is there disabled access at the Tes SEN Show?

Yes. The Business Design Centre has disabled access throughout the venue. If you require additional support, please contact us prior to the show and we can try and arrange this for you.

We are not in any way affiliated with these companies and advise you to ignore their emails and avoid clicking on any links contained within them. Your security is important to us, so if you're unsure whether or not an email you have received is fraudulent, please get in touch and we'd be happy to verify it for you. Will photos and video be taken at the Tes SEN Show?

Yes, photos and video will be taken by our official photographer and videographer to be used in publicity materials by the Mark Allen Group. By registering for the Tes SEN Show you are agreeing to have any photographs or videos taken of you to be used in next year's marketing.
