We will look at the 5 traditional sensory systems, with the addition of proprioception and vestibular in order for you to understand how the body takes on sensory information and makes use of it.
We will then consider the body's response to too much information (hyper) and too little information (hypo) and signs that children may be finding situations difficult.
We will finish the session looking at strategies that can easily be implemented in the classroom and playground, including some equipment, books and resources that you can explore. I envisage that you will leave the session with take away practical tips that you can use in your everyday practice.
