Neurodiverse students tend to perform poorly in standardised maths tests. They find it hard to show what they know in stressed situations that demand written answers. This seminar will examine how qualitative numeracy assessment moves away from right/wrong answers and allows SEND students to show their mathematical understanding. It will explore how this helps teachers to identify gaps in knowledge and prepare targeted support lessons.
