Keynote panel discussion

09 October 2021 09:45 - 10:30

Giving hope where there is none. A holistic approach to building confidence, independence, and employability skills for young adults with SEND. The importance of hope. Hope which translates into work. So much of the focus on education in SEN is on ‘outcomes’. Practical training is often considered secondary. At Team Domenica a holistic approach, combining education with enrichment sessions, work placements, supported internships and work in our cafes builds confidence and independence skills which can help lead to paid employment. Our in-house work experience is hands-on and real, and public facing. Our aim is to place our candidates at the heart of the community, which is, after all, where they belong.
