Under the Radar – Recognising Students with FASD in Classroom Settings

11:15 - 12:15

FASD is the leading cause of preventable learning disability in the UK. Many students with FASD are under the radar due to a lack of recognition of the condition and a lack of diagnosis. This session will explore the nature of prenatal alcohol exposure and its impact on the brain and body, the implications of that exposure in classroom settings and will explore practical strategies for supporting the student.
