The anxious learner: utilising student voice effectively

We have a greater understanding of the effects that anxiety has on our physiological; psychological and social well-being resulting in many of the ‘difficult’ behaviours experienced in a busy classroom. These ‘worriers’ are often reluctant to engage, participate fully or show their feelings openly. Equally, their anxiety can present in robust and aggressive behaviours. How can we utilise honest student voice to support our connection and communication in order to reduce anxiety and improve outcomes?
