Sensory processing challenges are estimated to affect 5-16% of children and they frequently occur in autism. In this presentation, occupational therapist, Kim Griffin will give an overview of the three areas of sensory processing disorder and how these might present in the classroom. She will explain the difference between sensory integration and sensory strategies. Finally, she will discuss the current evidence and guidance for using sensory strategies with children.
