Sensory processing differences are estimated to affect 5-16% of children. They frequently occur in autism. In this presentation, occupational therapist Kim Griffin, will give an overview of the areas of sensory processing and how these differences might present in the classroom. There will be general tips for using and monitoring sensory strategies. Finally, current evidence and guidance for using sensory strategies with children will be presented.
